Superstars was a BBC television programme that began in the 1970s.
In 2004 the concept was used by seven friends from Harpenden as the basis for a day of sports in a park in St. Albans. Since then, the format has been adjusted to include the second (2005) and third (2006) Summer competitions, and two winter challenges, in 2005 and 2006.
