Winter Superstars involves no skiing, snowboarding, skating or mountaineering. Anything remotely energetic, or in fact outdoors, didn't even make it into contention, leaving mainly a combination of card, computer and drinking games.

So, on the 19th February 2005 eight portly, unskilled, and frankly lazy twentysomethings hauled themselves through a not-quite-so-gruelling day of sports and games, gunning for Winter Superstar status.

Congratulations to all eight brave competitors.
