Profile: Always a solid competitor, is this year looking to make amends for his relatively poor showing at the inaugural Winter Superstars. Confident of a strong showing in the more aerobic summer version. Bring it on.

Age: 28
Profile: Still smarting from last years championship, Robbie decided to go on a soul-searching tour of the Mutu Muta region in eastern India. After spending 30 days travelling through the region (four of which were spent with the Beardedklam tribe) he finally put the event behind him and began to concentrate on the 2005 contest. This has given him extra focus and his mental and physical well-being have both been enhanced. Is off on a lads holiday at the end of July for a week, but will be landing at Luton airport around 7.00 in the morning on the 6th August. Bring it on.

Profile: Holder of the Victor Ladoram in his last year at school for all round sporting excellence, his prowess has since had not so much of a blip, but a full-on high-speed nose dive. Now chuffed with breaking the 100 barrier at golf and jogging two miles without feeling sick, the chinos of mediocrity suit him well (although now getting a little tight around the ass), and long may he wear them.

Profile: Fresh from his Winter Superstars triumph, this boy is gunning for the Grand Slam. Knows what is needed to succeed at the very top, but cannot consider himself to be one of the favourites this year. His only chance could be a sudden rule changes to make every single event Darts...

Profile: What can this one-trick pony do to put himself into contention? Sure, he'll rule the roost on the 800m and would kick arse in the 100m if it was extended by 25 miles, but when it comes down to downright skill, has The Boy got what it takes? Fourth place, last place and last place again in the morning skill events last year says it all...

Profile: No one could have predicted the last place in the inaugural Superstars one year ago. The result hit the globetrotting warrior hard so an improved performance in this year's competition is essential. After a soul cleansing, spiritual reawakening trip to China, this sleeping giant cannot be totally written off. Never over-confident, the big man will go about his business quietly, always remembering the joker round can be the make or break of the competition.

Profile: The Baldy Man is a decathlete trapped in the body of disabled darts player. Having fluked a 5th place finish in the 2004 summer Superstars he is under no illusion that in this years event he will be awarded the booby prize.

Profile: This competitor is by no means a favourite for summer Superstars due to the high number of "athletic" events. He will however bite like Tyson, spit like Diouf, kick like Cantona and cheat like Maradona in order to get though if needed (and it will be needed). He has even recently been heard talking to Tonya Harding for tips.
